Frequently Asked Questions

How do you handle payments and fees?

We handle most cases on a contingent fee basis. Under a contingent fee arrangement, the client pays nothing unless we successfully make a recovery on the client’s behalf. The attorney’s fee is a percentage of the sum recovered. Our law firm generally advances all expenses related to the case; the client reimburses the law firm for these expenses when the recovery is made.

How much will you charge me to discuss my case?

Nothing. We generally meet with prospective clients to discuss their case and evaluate same. There is no charge for the initial consultation.

When can I expect my case to be resolved?

Each case is unique. The time required to reach a successful resolution in a personal injury case depends on the extent of the injured personʼs medical treatment and recuperation, the complexity of the legal and medical issues involved and the location of the Court in which the case is filed. The attorneys at Rhodes & Lally do everything possible to resolve our clientsʼ cases as soon as practicable in order to maximize their recovery.
